Mike Jay's Story
I started So Cal DJ Pros in 2004 with a simple idea — show up, be real, and make every couple feel like their wedding is the only one that matters. Because to me, it is. I'm a solo operator. There's no team behind the name, no roster of DJs I dispatch. When you book So Cal DJ Pros, you book me — and I take that personally.
In 2011, I spent time as an afternoon on-air programmer for 104.3 myFM — one of Southern California's most beloved radio stations. That experience sharpened my instincts for what moves people, what keeps them engaged, and how to read a room. Those skills translate directly to the dance floor every single weekend.
In 2017, I added wedding officiant services — because some couples want one trusted person to handle it all. You can explore that at mikescustomceremonies.com. I keep my services intentional and my standards high. No big production, no smoke and mirrors — just a really good DJ who genuinely loves what he does.

I'm not a big DJ company. I'm one person who has spent 20+ years getting really good at one thing — making wedding receptions feel alive. I read the room, control the flow, and keep the energy exactly where it needs to be from the first entrance to the last dance.
My open-format style moves through Hip Hop, Pop, EDM, R&B, Latin, and throwbacks without ever losing the thread. Every set is built around you — your vibe, your guests, your story.
What you won't find here: a subcontractor showing up in my place, a production crew you've never met, or a package that feels like it was built for someone else. What you will find: me, fully prepared, fully present, and genuinely invested in your night.
